Severe Weather, 5-31-08
The storm came upon me so quickly; I was getting some gasoline to mow the lawn; guess I'll have to put that off.
As I drove home, the hail wasn't that bad; I saw a bicyclist on a nice Saturday ride hunkered under an evergreen. Seconds later, when I was only half a block from home, I suddenly couldn't see three feet in front of the car. Worried another car would be coming, or that I would sideswipe a car on the street, I managed to get in the garage.
The first picture above is what I took after hurriedly closing windows. A neighbor's tree limb came down; it looks like there wasn't any damage.
The second shows the accumulation of hail, levels of which I have not seen before. The storm left as soon as it came.
