I want to use this blog space to do writing exercises, like writing from another's perspective, prose poems, objective or realist writing, and things like the following.

I read someone say that
The Desert doesn't forgive,
Which reminded me of Jesus
In the Levant, feet sore, tempted by
Joe Satan, offering food of all things.

This eve I look up, expect to be
Pinched by crisp air's ratiocination
Between self and moon, but I see
Only the sum of street lights in the sky,
Which make me warm instead of cold,
But oddly alone.

One time I tried to write a poem
Near a shallow Iowa lake, ducks
Disparaging my efforts.
