As I continue to get better at playing basketball, I'm more and more annoyed by the young kids who don't pass, make cuts or set picks. Tho', I realize that's how I used to play. My annoyance level is high especially today, because a first- or second-year undergrad slammed into me when I was flying to the basket for what should've been an open layup. The kid didn't have a play on the ball, not to mention the fact that he couldn't even get within a foot and a half of how high I was. So he slammed into me, I lost my balance, and fell hard. Luckily I didn't break an arm as I came down, and I didn't land on my hip or my tailbone (or coccyx), but I will have a sore right buttock for a week, and I got a nervous anxiety response when it happened, similar to the feeling I had when I got hit by a car on my bike. Such is life. C'est la vie.
I'm thinking seriously about going to the UofA's first football game, and sitting in the cheap seats. I'll call some grad students, but doubt they'll be up for it.
