My second section is great!
I'm teaching Old School American literature -- Wm. Bradford, John Winthrop were today. It went great, but mostly in the second class.
Teaching in an American studies style rules -- one can connect historical texts to the debates of today.
It's all fun, and I learned "American studies" (and how to have cohesive thinking about American literature) from Annette Kolodny, with whom I took one graduate course and learned much; nevertheless her domineering style I hated.
Below is two portraits of the "first" American Thanksgiving, which, according to Wm. Bradford, had no Native Americans.
