From Great American Hypocrites, on the repackaging of neoconservative warmonger John McCain. "Bomb bomb bomb Iran" Smiley

For most of my lifetime, I did not know what it takes to extricate a powerful country out of the occupation of a smaller one, but now I know. People near me angrily defend continuing the war, and I fume at the continued death. My heart angrily burned this morning when I read this. I may still write a response.

Getting out of war is the hardest part
Every day you turn over another bomb
You take it with guns, you take it to the grave
Getting out of war is the hardest part

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part
It all makes one feel like Michael Corleone in The Godfather, Part II. After suffering attempts on his life and the stress of managing The Family, he becomes unhinged, ordering the killing of his brother Fredo and cutting off his wife Kay from their children -- slamming the door, in fact.

Things keep escalating, but one must stop. Yet the momentum continues, guilt builds on guilt, asserting control only leads to more chaos. How does one dismantle a war?
No profanes - sacred
