No. I think the tradition of looking closely at something—anybody who cooks knows what close reading means. When we live in a world where you no longerhave to cook, then I think—you know,  we use microwaves all the time—then you forget that attention to detail. If we live in a culture where you don't repair but replace, you forget that attention to detail—enjoying and consuming the affect of craftspersonly attention to detail—is a very solid part of the life of the poor. I teach the very, very poor. And this challenge I would throw to anyone.
