Dream from This Morning: Bill Gates
Have you ever had a dream where the events occurring around you match what is inside the dream? I had my fan on, and the cold air was making me shiver a bit, but I was in a definite dream state. I was talking to Bill Gates, who was for some reason trying to convince me to use Microsoft products. "I use Gmail -- it's more intuitive," I told him. "My Internet Explorer has a bug in it and I can't use it."
He continued trying to defend Microsoft products. He pointed to the great resources his company has put into research and development. He made some sort of nonsensical argument to me, saying, "Do you want NASA using [Google]?" I replied, "I don't know, Bill, what's the bigger organization -- NASA or Microsoft? And why does what NASA does matter to me?" The trajectory of the conversation went from me sheepishly admitting that I preferred Google products and Bill Gates trying to encourage me to use Microsoft stuff to Bill Gates whining for me to use Microsoft and me getting a creepy feeling of Bill Gates trying to guilt-trip me into using Microsoft stuff. "Geez," I thought.
We could barely talk in that room with the AC vent blowing cold air in my face. Then I woke up and shut off the fan. End of dream.
