Okay, there's "so many drugs" in pro bicycling. Well, along with the Olympics, it's the only world-class-level sport that has effective anti-doping or anti-performance-enhancing policies and governing bodies. Bicyclists have to report their whereabouts year round -- which is unheard of for NFL, baseball, basketball, so on.
The Olympics caught Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery.
So if you think Barry Bonds is so bad for using testosterone-boosters, imagine 40% of ALL major league non-pitchers being taken out of the sport. This is likely the amount of steroid-users in the Major Leagues, because their "testing" policy is nonexistent due the strength of the Major Leagues Player Associate Union.

Also, compare how Jeff Bagwell immediately shrunk after he retired. I can't find that picture right now. But he looked to have lost at least 50 pounds.
