I hear on the news that a body has been burned outside of Tucson. This happens more than you'd think -- I've heard of about three body burnings and around five dead bodies discovered in Tucson's washes, where homeless live. Gruesome, y'all -- ugly underside of the sunny southwest.
Friday I also saw a huge SunTran public bus pulled over in the strip mall parking lot where I work at GNC. A cop listened to the uniformed driver, energetically defending her case. You see the weirdest things in Tucson. It's like Naples down here -- too much heat, too much sun, too much free time. Give me the grim faces of an Omaha winter.
I sprained my left ankle playing basketball today. It's pretty swollen; I stepped on somebody's foot as I drove to the basket. It's part of the game -- sprained ankle is the second most occurring basketball injury after skin blister. Sadly, I will have to occupy myself by writing term papers. (The "sadly" is ironic.)
I was playing pretty well before it -- with undergrad guys, though (doesn't really count, beings as I'm 25 and a half).
